The Five Plus One project was designed by Hamid Mirmiran and Sahel Aboutorabian with the concept of creating six residential units across five floors plus a basement level. The central idea is a rethinking of apartment living patterns in Tehran, where each unit has a dedicated terrace and private green space that reproduces the feeling of living in a villa-type house within an urban apartment setting. Flexible floor plans and deep terraces enable visual and physical connections between interior and exterior spaces. The building's facade, through a combination of solid and void volumes and the use of natural materials, gives the structure a human and tangible identity. The project won 3rd place in the apartment buildings category at the 18th Memar Award.
