Gallery Salmaan (Furniture and Art Works Gallery)

An innovative gallery space built on an abandoned swimming pool in the southern courtyard of a residential building in Tehran. Designed by Reza Daneshmir as his first independent built work, the 200-square-meter project consists of two volumes: one articulating the exterior form through a dramatic wave-like polycarbonate and steel surface, and the other housing the main interior element — a long, straight stairway. The inner shell, formed from the relationship between a metal frame and the outer wave-like surface, serves four roles: creating rotational movement through its undulating structure, connecting exterior and interior space, housing a 12-meter truss, and acting as a monumental sculptural presence.
