A House Between Two Pines

A House Between Two Pines won first place in the Renovation category at the 18th Memar Award (2018). Designed by Kambiz Moshtagh Gohari and located in Qods neighborhood of Zahedan, this renovation project addresses the city's chronic urban sprawl. Zahedan, as a city with unregulated development and visual disorder, presented unique challenges. The architect's effort was to rescue this neighborhood from urban degradation, creating a space that maintains its character while being renewed. The jury praised its sensitive approach to the existing urban fabric.
