House of 40 Knots in Tehran, designed by Habibeh Madjdabadi and Alireza Mashhadimirza, is a residential project inspired by traditional Iranian geometric knotwork art (gereh-chini). The building facade is adorned with geometric patterns derived from knotwork art, showcasing a synthesis of tradition and modernity. This creative approach keeps Iranian cultural identity alive within the body of contemporary architecture. The project won 3rd place in the Apartment Buildings category at the 14th Memar Award (2014).
