Imperial Hotel, Tokyo

This hotel building, which lies like a sphinx on the natural and urban landscape of Tokyo, has an organisation of interior spaces that, because of the H form of the site, provides both the possibility of viewing the man-made nature of the inner courtyards created by Wright in the central part, and the possibility of the gradual transformation and articulation of the side courtyards towards the open urban and natural landscape outside the building.
