The spatial organisation of Persian gardens such as Hasht Behesht informed the concept of this project, which connects existing and new office buildings along a central axis. The building has a reinforced concrete structure, parts of which are exposed like columns on the west entrance facade. Elsewhere the external walls are of brick, to blend in with the surrounding buildings. The alternation of solids and voids on the facade draws its inspiration from the rhythms of the traditional architecture of Isfahan.Source: Aga Khan Trust for Culture
