The Public Sanitary Service in Tehran is a project that was selected as a Jury Selection and received a special commendation at the 11th Memar Award (2011). Designed by Bahram Shirdel. According to the jury report, Bahram Shirdel "selected no other project as a winner apart from two commended projects: the Pardazesh Samaneh-ha-ye Paydar Office-Research Building and the Public Restroom." Despite its small scale and simple function, the project attracted the jury's attention and demonstrated that architectural design is possible at any scale.
