Dr Shokrani's Residential House, Isfahan, 1995 Location: Isfahan — Site Area: 162 m² — four storeys — Design: Ahmad Mozayan — Structure: Majid Kasaeian. The basis of the design for Dr Shokrani's house was to reach a non-repetitive and distinctive space on a small plot by an upward expansion. The different uses of the storeys complement each other. The careful treatment of dimensions and proportions in the detailing produces a space whose scale is human and whose character is residential. The use of materials familiar from Isfahan architecture has helped translate a new idea into a familiar language.
