On Tuesday 13 November 2007 (22 Aban 1386), the fourth commemoration of World Urbanism Day was held in the assembly hall of the Iranian Society of Consulting Engineers. After a welcome to the attendees by Engineer Fakhr-Samadi (head of the Society's management council), Dr. Pouyan Shahabian (secretary of the World Urbanism Day event in previous years) spoke, noting the origin of World Urbanism Day on 8 November 1949. At the close of the ceremony, the title of “Urban Designer of the Year” was presented to Engineer Saeednia.
