Meant as an office tower module, it differs according to Lissitzky from the American office type by the separation of the utilitarian and structural vertical support /s and the horizontal working spaces. As a module it was proposed to repeat and be placed at traffic junctions located on a large city ring. However, its quite unique form of a large slab sup- ported asymmetrically on a vertical base seems to be its main attraction.

Sant’Elia’s: Futurist designs, although only on paper - powerful drawings, were highly influential on the various radical tenden- cies of the 20th century, even in areas such as film-making. His later draw- ings were for a new city (La Citta Nuova) that would be composed of huge struc- tures in which strong verti- cal lines featured strongly.
