Inclusion of these images of a house in Shiraz, provtded by Amin Farahani, although not of Tehran - our focus in this issue - could not be resisted. Besides its obvious and not so obvi- ous - almost enigmatic - qualities, expressed in part by sensu- ous curves, its existence indicates the qualitative richness and quantitative diversity of Deco - Modernistic influences in Iran. Too many things to describe, but the slightly projected plane to the left of the garden / car entrance, delineated in part by a large curve, a as well as the large inverted triangular projec- tions on the garden wall, not to forget about the small circular holes on the deepest areas of the wedge shaped ribs should not to be missed.
