A number of specified sections will follow. This has proven difficult however, since in every image many aspects such as the materials, doors and windows, screens and the like can be found. In some images one aspect seemed more pronounced. This was the basis of the sections. The list however, is by no means complete or final. This introductory part is about overall form.

Mirza-ye Shirazi [E] + 13th [N]. ARTICULATED VERTICAL SIDE EDGES. A highly articulated crystalline form: this characteristic has been augmented by the flushness of the windows with the stone. The window divisions are painterly. The horizontally set stone rectangle, which projects out only slightly, has made the windows L-shaped by occupying a corner. The opening sections of the windows do not align vertically – a formal improvement. The sharp corner edge is made even sharper by the turning of the glass. The slightly projected stone rectangle shifts into the space of the balcony - !!! - the vertical stone strips come down slightly against the lower edge of the cantilevered mass.Rahmati Bahambari [N] – off Valiasr [E] – north of Valiasr Roundabout. GLASS SURFACES AND A CYLINDRICAL VOLUME ON THE LEFT. SHELVES IN OPENINGS IN EASTERN BALCONY SIDES. The blue soffit colour is original. Although a northern side of the street plot, untypically the building is in the front rather than the garden.Off Bucharest [W] – 11th street [S]. STONE. BALCONIES. NARROW SLITS. Both cases use the curve of the street line, solids and voids, cantilevers, screens, balconies and terraces for dynamic effects.Felestin (Palestine) Roundabout – SE corner. STONE – TRAVERTINE + GREY STONE. The vertical screen on the lower section of the stair window is a later addition.Qandi [S] + 17th [N]. Enghelab [N] – Felestin [E]. Bucharest [E] # 35. In this period, the way external walls hit the street would be carefully thought through. Stone was used in large pieces or in a combination of sizes separated by fine grooves. Some walls would be raised against the ground by slits.Above: Kazeroun [W] # 20 — small, coarse stone wafers for the external finish.
