Saveh Villa

3rd Place — Residential Buildings

This residential villa was designed on agricultural land (a garden) near Saveh. The client's initial request was a villa with three bedrooms, which was expanded to include reception areas in both private and public sections with expansive terraces on two floors. Total area is 460 sqm (240 sqm enclosed, 166 sqm terraces).

The site conditions (hot, dry climate and the building's placement amid water) led the designers to create comfort in the desert while establishing a meaningful connection with Iranian architecture and the kooshk (pavilion). The design employs a cube form emphasizing a quadripartite geometry (four lateral walls), creating a shell that assembles semi-open and enclosed spaces under one roof.

The placement of two perimeter walls on the east side and two exposed concrete columns symmetrically evokes the entrance of pavilions like Hasht Behesht.
