Aftab Culture House is a library and multimedia center in the historic village of Mazraeh Shour, 35 km along the Nayin road from Isfahan. Due to employment in nearby factories, villagers have relatively good economic conditions, but the lack of cultural and social facilities led young people to unhealthy recreation. This building houses two reading rooms, book storage, management office, audiovisual classroom, internet cafe, traditional refreshment shop, stationery store, gathering space (courtyard), and sanitary facilities. The interventions included creating openings between rooms for a unified reading hall, and adding openings in exterior walls following traditional village patterns for natural lighting. Total area: 170 sq.m., built area: 250 sq.m.
