The Ahwaz Pipe Company headquarters, designed by Sirus Mehr Andish and Kiarash Kiayee of Azhand Shahr Consulting Engineers, won joint second place at the 3rd Memar Award (2003). Located on Ahmad Ghasir Street off Beheshti Avenue in Tehran, this four-story office building demonstrates how creative spatial strategies can transform a compact urban site.

The jury praised the building's innovative use of void spaces that create a dynamic interplay between solid volumes and open air throughout the structure. A central light well penetrates the full height of the building, providing natural illumination to interior offices while generating visual connections between floors. The facade composition balances transparency and opacity through a careful arrangement of glass, metal panels, and projecting elements that give the building a sculptural quality.

Designed in late 2002 and completed by August 2003, the building occupies 920 square meters across its four floors on a 440-square-meter plot. The associate group including Sharareh Nik Nezhad and Mohammad Reza Lamei contributed to the detailed resolution of the design, with structural engineering by Tahsin Zeinali Zadeh. The building stands as evidence that even modest-scale commercial architecture can achieve distinction through thoughtful spatial invention.
