[BW7] Residential Building in Tehran, won joint Third Place in the Apartment Buildings category at the 15th Memar Award (2015). With an area of 932 square meters, the project is designed around the concept of a tower-garden and comprises eight residential units of 310 square meters each. The core idea is the integration of green space with apartment living at height.
Each residential unit features a private garden at elevation. These hanging gardens not only provide private green space for each unit but also play a role in regulating ambient temperature and reducing energy consumption. The building facade is a combination of glass, metal, and greenery, with plants cascading from various floors to present a living and dynamic image. This approach responds to urban residents' need for connection with nature within the heart of apartment living.
The building structure is designed to enable the creation of large open spaces on each floor. Concrete columns and beams form frames within which green space and urban scenery are composed.
