Darband Residence

The Darband residence is a structure that is a century old, which had already been turned into a peculiarly modern building some 40 years ago. Before the renovation the state of the building was so bad that almost the whole structure needed to be rebuilt. Consequently, after the passage of time, many traditional elements of Iranian architecture, that were identified and researched, were returned to the building. Source: Aga Khan Trust for Culture
