Dayereh Snack Bar in Isfahan was designed by Farshad Mehdizadeh, receiving Third Place in the Renovation category at the 11th Memar Award (2011). The project is an exceptional example of transforming a very ordinary and mundane condition into an extraordinary opportunity for architectural design. Dayereh was designed in a space of just 7 square meters, achieving the artistic valorization of a very small and awkward space into a full-fledged architectural project. The designer compensated for the limitations of the interior space by extending the project to the outdoor environment, addressing important architectural design issues such as idea diagram, form, materials, function, and relationship with the surrounding environment at this remarkably small scale. During the jury deliberations, Kamran Afshar Naderi praised the project for "transforming a very ordinary and mundane condition into an extraordinary opportunity for architectural design," "artistic valorization of a very small and awkward space," and "addressing important architectural design issues in a project of just 7 square meters," ranking it as his first choice in the Renovation category.
