One of the oldest active mosques in Iran, with a wooden minbar more than 900 years old, a central courtyard, vaulted prayer halls and stone columns showing Seljuk techniques. The main volume of the building (especially the southern portal and the dome chamber) was restored and decorated in 1024 AH by order of Shah Abbas the Safavid.
