Kandooj

Kandooj won third place in the Individual Dwellings category at the 24th Memar Award (2024). Designed by ZAV Architects (Mohammadreza Ghodousi, Fateme Rezaei Fakhr Astaneh), located in Larijan, Mazandaran. Where the interwoven village fabric meets farmland and gardens, a typology emerges that faces both inward and integrates with surrounding nature and geography. A geometry of square cavities from interior courtyards to windows and brick lattices defines the spatial character.
