Villa No. 3 in Maneli Shahrak, Mazandaran, designed by Zavieh Architectural Group, won first place in the Individual Dwellings category at the 6th Memar Award (2006). The jury praised this project as one of the rare examples that demonstrates northern Iranian regional architecture as a living, functional tradition rather than mere stylistic imitation. The design draws upon indigenous northern architectural patterns not merely for aesthetics but to address practical challenges of wind corridors and heavy rainfall. Negar Hakim noted that the villa adapts to its climatic conditions, integrating the surrounding environment harmoniously. Firouz Firouz called it one of the finest examples of northern Iranian residential architecture, appreciating how it creates regional identity while maintaining contemporary relevance. The project employs local materials including stone and wood, with elevated platforms typical of Mazandaran vernacular building traditions.
