No.30 Residential Building

No.30 Residential Building won second place in the Apartment Buildings category at the 18th Memar Award (2018). Designed by Hamed Badri Ahmadi and Fatemeh Shariati of Boozhgan Architecture Studio, the building is located on Sheikh Bahayi Street in Tehran. In a city where the 60-percent building coverage rule has created countless box-like structures, this project deliberately embraces its box-like character rather than disguising it. The building opens toward the northern green areas using a simple technique, creating a dialogue between interior and exterior. The facade, executed in cement with exemplary precision, reflects a commitment to design and craft over trendy materials. Built area: 1,998 square meters.
