Pars Residential Complex in Tehran by Dariush Shahnavaz raises the old theme of the urban streetscape — a forgotten subject in Iranian housing. The interconnected buildings, placed on the project's irregular site, organize the site in a relatively bold manner. The design takes the form of a row-house urban block, addressing urban streetscape with modest boldness but in a relatively rare manner.
Critic Kamran Afshar Naderi noted that the aesthetic of the facade remains unsuccessful; had the designer offered a kind of aesthetic matching his spatial ideas, the work would undoubtedly have been more successful. Despite this weakness, the project's engagement with the urban block typology was commended. Selected as a Jury Selection at the 2nd Grand Memar Award (2002) in the Residential Complexes category.
