First-prize-winning competition entry for the redesign of Place Jacques Cartier in Old Montreal. The project by Shirdel and Zago proposed a layered urban intervention that reinterpreted the historic square through contemporary landscape and architectural strategies, creating new relationships between the port, the old city, and City Hall.
