Sadra Park, designed by Mehrdad Iravanian, is a public urban park in the Sadra New Town development north of Shiraz. The landscape design breaks from conventional Iranian park patterns of repetitive flowerbeds and fountains, instead organizing the space around sculptural elements and spatial sequences. The manipulated topography creates hills, valleys, and platforms at different levels, encouraging exploration and discovery. A water feature runs through the length of the park, alternating between flowing streams and still reflecting pools, connecting different zones while creating microclimates that enhance outdoor comfort. Lightweight pavilion structures provide solar shading, employing a formal vocabulary that echoes the pipe language of Iravanian's Gas Company Building, creating a dialogue between his architectural and landscape projects.
