Salt Palace

Salt Palace (Koushk-e Namaki) won second place in the Public Buildings category at the 18th Memar Award (2018). Located at Salt Lake, twenty kilometers from the salt mine in Aran and Bidgol, Isfahan Province, this unique structure was commissioned by Haji Ahmad Ahmadi Bidgoli. The building sits dramatically on the salt lake landscape, using the surrounding mineral environment as both context and material inspiration.
