
The crown jewel of Naqsh-e Jahan Square, rotated 45 degrees from the square's axis to face Mecca. Its four-iwan plan, twin minarets, and 52-meter double-shell dome are covered in seven-color mosaic tilework that took 18 years to complete under Shah Abbas I.
