Alireza Afzalipour

Biography

Alireza Afzalipour was an Iranian engineer and philanthropist who, together with his wife Fakhereh Saba, founded the National University of Kerman (now Shahid Bahonar University) in the early 1970s as a charitable endeavor. He commissioned Bonyad Consulting Engineers to create the university's master plan in 1972 and later donated the completed initial buildings to the people of Kerman.
