Bruno Zevi

Biography

Italian architect, architectural historian, and critic. A leading proponent of organic architecture influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright, Zevi taught at the universities of Venice and Rome. His books Towards an Organic Architecture (1948) and The Modern Language of Architecture remain essential texts in architectural theory. He founded the magazine Metron and championed spatial analysis as the key to understanding architecture.
