Jamal Mousavi

Biography

Iranian architect. Won second place in the Sheikh Eshraq Memorial Architectural Competition in Zanjan. His design is based on Suhrawardi's concept of the mirror as the purest entity, with the overall geometry founded on two hemispheres facing each other encompassing a sphere in the process of being born. The design integrates with the historic fabric of Zanjan using the concept of the number four (revered by Suhrawardi) and the sunken garden pattern.
