Mohsen Foroughi

Biography

Iranian architect (b. 1907). Son of statesman Mohammad Ali Foroughi. Graduated first in class from École des Beaux Arts, Paris (1937). Professor at University of Tehran. Co-founded Faculty of Fine Arts (1940) with André Godard. Succeeded Godard as dean. Founder of 'Architect' journal, one of Iran's first architecture publications. Designed University of Tehran master plan, Senate House of Iran, Sa'di and Baba Taher mausoleums.
