Biography

Peter Eisenman (born 1932) is an American architect and architectural theorist, one of the most prominent figures in deconstructivist architecture. A founding member of the New York Five, his theoretical writings and built works have profoundly influenced contemporary architectural discourse. Notable projects include the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin, the Wexner Center for the Arts in Columbus, Ohio, and the City of Culture of Galicia in Santiago de Compostela. He has taught at Cambridge, Princeton, Harvard, Cooper Union, Ohio State, and Yale.
