Jury Discussion
Franco Micucci: The main strength of the project is not in creating form, but in its return to the fundamental subjects of architecture. The essential point of this project is a powerful spatial experience for an ordinary use, using ordinary materials and high creative power. This is not a project — it is a statement.
Kamran Afshar Naderi: The project has many positive points, and it is interesting that despite being primitive, it has so much to say. For me, the interesting point is that on one hand it relates to local architecture, but it has used different materials that are also local but are not typically used in local architecture. The idea that one can advance indigenous culture with today’s knowledge is very interesting.
Hossein Sheikh Zeineddin: The work is very simple, and simplicity is in fact always difficult. I also think it is a very good project. Its essence is not simple either. It has a sophisticated combination of mathematics and form. While it has used the most basic elements to achieve an excellent form. This dual quality of the project is interesting to me.
Reza Daneshmir: This project is a “single-space” project. It has one fundamental and basic subject. This is a starting point for every architect. Topological geometry has been used in creating its space. In my opinion, it is a successful project because it has no scale and also has the capability to expand without changing its nature.
