The name of this place is misleading, and for someone who has not traveled to Bushehr or seen films of it, it conjures the image of a salt mountain. But this is an area spanning several thousand hectares that nature has architected over 500 million years. The Mond River, the most water-rich river in Bushehr Province, passes alongside this area, and from this point onward its fresh water turns saline. The beauty of its landscapes, which at first glance appear to a traveler passing on the Khormooj road like undulations covered in snow, can inspire any artist or architect.
