According to materials sent to Memar magazine, efforts are under way to register a foundation named after the late architect Seyyed Hadi Mirmiran; until its legal registration, an institution called the “Mirmiran Architecture Institute” will carry out the same duties.
The foundation's objectives are: (a) to identify, collect, analyze and publish the ideas and architectural works of the late Seyyed Hadi Mirmiran and other distinguished Iranian architects, in order to present and elevate the new current of Iranian architecture; (b) to identify the intellectual foundations of past and present Iranian architecture and to re-articulate it as a new architectural model for presentation on the world stage; (c) to create a scholarly-research standing for conducting and encouraging fundamental and applied studies in Iranian and world architecture; and (d) to motivate young researchers and creative talents to flourish and present their potential. The foundation's first award was held in Ordibehesht 1386 (spring 2007) during “Architect Week,” in the architect's memory.
