POURKAN WEEKEND VILLA

1st Place, Renovation — 14th Memar Award

This weekend villa, located in Pourkan village at kilometer 15 of the Chalous road near Karaj, represents a renovation project that transforms an existing structure into a modern retreat. The project was executed with careful attention to the relationship between old and new, preserving the spirit of the original building while introducing contemporary architectural elements.

The clients, Mozhdeh Godousi and Ali Alavi Kamran, entrusted the project to a team led by designer Mohammadreza Ghodousi, with Fatemeh Rezaee as project manager and Soroush Majidi as design associate. The structural design was handled by Nader Shokoufi, and mechanical installations by Kianoush Mohammadi.

The renovation approach respected the existing footprint while introducing new spatial qualities. Wall construction was executed by Kenaf Co., with doors and windows by Shirzad Ghanbari. The facade treatment, handled by Fotouhi, combined concrete with Havilux finishes. Lighting consultation by Sanaz Omid and landscape design by Maryam Moghareh completed the transformation, while furniture selection by Mandi Amiri furnished the interior spaces.
