Approximation House in Tehran was designed with the idea of approximating and bringing together different living spaces. The designer sought to offer a continuous dwelling experience by removing rigid boundaries between spaces and creating fluid intermediate zones. Materials and construction details were carefully selected to reinforce the sense of unity and calm within the home, establishing a spatial continuum that challenges the conventional compartmentalization of apartment living. Approximation House won joint First Place in the Apartment Buildings category at the 21st Memar Award (2021) with 10 points. The jury — Babak Zirak, Mohammad Majidi, Mehran Khoshro, Alireza Taghaboni, and Sara Kalantari — recognized the project for its innovative approach to redefining spatial boundaries and creating a fluid dwelling experience within the apartment format.
