Designed for a family of three (a mother and two children) on a 45 sqm plot with 60 sqm built area in Malayer, this house was commissioned by Imam Khomeini Relief Committee. Architect Reza Koulivand recognized that the primary challenge was outdoor space rather than interior; with 100% site coverage mandated due to the small lot, the courtyard was relocated to the roof, creating an elevated open-air living space. The project demonstrates sustainable and socially responsible construction, engaging community members in the bricklaying process to reduce costs while using locally available materials. Winner of the 1st Place in Individual Dwellings at the 19th Memar Award.
