The Mosque at Bushehr Cement Factory was designed by Mohammad Javad Erfanian Jam with Sazbon Consulting Engineers. Recognized as a jury selection at the 5th Grand Memar Award in 2005, and praised by the jury as one of the strongest entries despite not placing in the top five. Kamran Afshar Naderi opened the discussion noting the mosque's remarkable quality in a challenging industrial setting, appreciating the architect's ability to create a spiritual space using local materials and responding to the Bushehr climate. Nasrin Seraji expressed agreement about its spatial qualities while noting some construction details could have been refined.
