Master plan for a new city development on the northern coast of Hainan Island, China. The project won the Canadian Government Award (CGA) Gold Medal and was developed during Shirdel's collaboration with Andrew Zago and Jeffrey Kipnis. The plan proposed an innovative urban framework integrating tropical climate considerations with contemporary urban design principles.
