Two residential buildings on Elahiyeh (Fereshteh) Street in Tehran, the second set designed by Behrouz Bayat. These companion buildings to Bayat's main Elahieh project share the same architectural language — skilled craftsmanship, precise detailing, and references to the vernacular architecture of Tehran and Shemiran. The public circulation spaces, entrances, terraces, and balconies are distinctive and attractive.
Critic Kamran Afshar Naderi noted that while the buildings do not raise a new artistic issue, they are of very good quality architecturally, with skill, precision, and taste employed throughout their design. The facades, in terms of the concentration of numerous disparate elements, appear somewhat cluttered; however, due to the gradation of lightness and heaviness of elements in relation to the ground and skyline, this feature is not bothersome. Selected as a Jury Selection at the 2nd Grand Memar Award (2002) in the Apartment Buildings category.
