Embassy of Iran in Amman, Jordan

Embassy and consulate complex for the Islamic Republic of Iran in Amman, Jordan. Designed with consideration for cultural ties between Iran and Jordan, adjacency to the Queen's Palace, and a synthesis of both countries' architectural traditions with contemporary innovations. The complex is sited on sloping terrain, with the taller embassy building at higher elevation and the consulate below, offering panoramic views of the city. Two distinct paths lead from separate entrances, each rotating around the complex to reach the main buildings. Spaces slide over one another in layers while maintaining hierarchy and enclosing a garden-like central courtyard.
