[In] Exterior, Falahatian Yardhouse

An exercise in challenging the relationship between inside and outside in organizing temporary residential space. Located in Pir Bakran near Isfahan along the Zayandeh Rud, this summer villa reimagines the traditional yardhouse typology. The design by Shift Process Practice creates a fluid boundary between interior and exterior, with the courtyard becoming the primary living space. Winner of 2nd Place in Individual Dwellings at the 16th Memar Award (2016) with 8 jury points.
