This old double-storied house is arranged around a central courtyard which contains a stone pool. In the restoration, level differences on the site are exploited to relate floor and garden areas and to separate different areas within the building. Brick is used for the front facade to protect against the elements while the other facades are made from a plaster of clay and straw.Source: Aga Khan Trust for Culture
