Piroozi Residential Complex

Winner of the 3rd Place at the 4th Grand Memar Award (2004), the Piroozi Residential Complex in Ahvaz was designed by Mehdi Moghareh Abed with a total area of 2,640 square meters. The jury recognized the project for its thoughtful approach to social housing, achieving architectural quality within severe economic constraints. The complex demonstrates that affordable housing need not sacrifice spatial dignity, employing careful massing and facade articulation to create visual interest and community identity in a challenging climate.
