Pour Seyyedi House in Kerman, designed by Ali Ghorbani, received third place in the Individual Dwellings category at the 6th Memar Award (2006). The jury appreciated this house for its sensitive engagement with the desert climate and traditional architectural vocabulary of Kerman. The project demonstrates how regional construction techniques and local materials can create contemporary living spaces that are both climatically responsive and aesthetically compelling. The design includes careful consideration of natural ventilation, shading, and thermal mass — essential qualities for Kerman's extreme climate. The material studies and sectional drawings reveal sophisticated understanding of passive environmental control.
