Designed by New Wave Architecture (Lida Almasian and Shahin Heidari), the self-service restaurant at the University of Sistan & Balouchestan campus features two parallel sculptural volumes — one for women and one for men — positioned over a reflecting pool that serves both aesthetic and cooling functions. The jury engaged in an extensive discussion about the project's formal language and its relationship to international architectural discourse. Gisue Hariri praised the building's placement as a sculptural element in the landscape and the equal treatment of male and female dining spaces. Hadi Tehrani noted that despite the use of heavy materials like stone and glass, the building maintains its elegance. Nader Tehrani raised important questions about the integration of water as a cooling mechanism and the project's engagement with folding as an architectural language, while acknowledging the strength of the parallel volume composition.
