Following the announcement in Memar no. 5 of a competition to design a logo for Memar magazine, open to all who were interested and to students in particular, more than 20 people sent their proposed designs to the magazine’s office; we thank every one of them for their kindness. The set of designs by Mr Hamid Lotfi, together with three other designs, was judged better than the rest, and from among them design no. 1 by Mr Hamid Lotfi, printed at the top of this page, was chosen as the best design. Below the winning design the rest of Mr Lotfi’s designs are printed, and on the facing page the designs of the three other entrants.
