Winner of fourth place. The house is built on a narrow plot for the client, Davoud Ranjbar, where a pre-existing foundation constrained the design. The architect reached a suitable typological solution and a balance between part and whole, with an aesthetic delicacy in the detailing.
Jury statement — fourth rank, for: 1. reaching a suitable typological solution with regard to the site constraint and the need to adapt the project to a pre-existing structure; 2. creating a balance between part and whole and an aesthetic delicacy in the treatment of the details and space. The jury's critique is the imperceptibility of a challenge in the programming of form and the manner of occupying space.
