Biography

1970 | PH.D. in architecture and town design from university of Rome/Italy. Also at the same year, pass the exam of permit of work in Italy.1971 | Winner of the competition among the students of schools of architecture, organized by Italian steel association.(this project was prepared for 100.000 people).1972 | Diploma of restoration and renovation of old monuments’ and building, from university of Rome.1975 | Head designer/ project manager for a new residential complex at Persian Gulf, Chabahar/Iran with the capacity of 650.000 populations.1975-1979 | Second office in Tehran with Italian partners. 1975 | Director and organizer for an international competition, for Iranian national Library named(Pahlavi National Library)1977 | Design for the office building for “KRUPP IRAN GMBH”1979 | Moving to U.S.A, New York City “Manhattan” working with architectural firm, named: R.B.S.&D. only for one year, as “Head of design department”. In this period, he won 2 international competitions:1-Medical library(university of Baghdad/Iraq). 1st prize.2-Cairo international center: combination of office space, residential space and commercial (Cairo/Egypt) 1st prize.3-Also winner of another competition by invitation: (A new child center) for New York hospital at New York city.4-A hospital complex for Saudi Arabia.5-A project: Marina, Yacht club, sport center also for Saudi Arabia. 1981 | Established my own Company: (Bijan Safavi & Assoc.Inc). At New York city, Manhattan, USA.- Beijing/China, for lecturing at “international professional work shop” over environmental art and interior, for 6 weeks. (at Beijing university).1998 | Back to Tehran/Iran until the present time.1999 | Design and construction of modern “main gate building” of Tehran Opera House. 2000 | Project for “new Italian Embassy” in Farmaniye Tehran.2006 | Award winning project, for “Ettelaat news paper organization” with special thanks from Mr.Khatami, the Iranian President.2008-2009 | Working as per request over several
